I just had a friend of mine who is a chemistry major, studying to be an MD......... email me with the following findings after a day in Chemistry Lab: "thought you might find this interesting...I used SLS (Sodium Lauryl Sulfate or "Sulfate's" ) today in trying to weaken cell walls to access the DNA inside -- NO WONDER its bad for your hair..." please keep it OFF your head!

We Carry Only SULFATE-FREE SHAMPOO's - Killerstrands supports Shampoos without harsh surfactants (in order to keep your hair ON your head)We do not feel the Shampoo + Conditioner theory is valid...70% of you do not need conditioner ... your hair is not tangled after a shampoo. The 30% can use a wonderful Spray Detangler (try our "Soma" spray leave-in...our 3rd Best Seller) A Daily conditioner doesn't work. Does it? Once you begin on the method above, Deep condition once a week w/ THRIVEN. Some need a daily conditioner, but I think it should be called a detangler - - period.

Strand Test - It's a MUST!
When using new hair color, KC and the entire Killer Strands staff suggest that you take the time to run a Strand Test. New colors are always a mystery, and it’s much better to have one small section of your hair come out badly than your whole head!
With every hair color order over $50.00 -- Killer Strands offers a complimentary Strand Test Kit which includes:
- 3 foils
- disposable measuring cup
- 1 pair of gloves
- 1 treatment cap ( for blonds or Gleam/Thrive'N)
A Strand Test involves mixing a small portion of your Hair Color and developer (just a teaspoon is typically enough) and applying it to a one-inch section of hair. Cover the strand with foil to keep the color from running and process it for the recommended time. Rinse. Dry. Assess. This can save you tremendous head & heart ache.
PLEASE, take the extra hour to complete this step, you will be very happy you did, and…so will I.*
